Championship play-off final;
This is being billed as the 170m football match and is being contested by two sides with very little to separate them. Reading finished 4 points and 2 places above Huddersfield, owing much to the fact that they had the 2nd best home record in the division, just a point behind promoted Brighton. Huddersfield had the slightly better away record, though, and that may stand them in good stead today on neutral territory.
Both sides did extremely well in qualifying against 2 very much in-form sides in Fulham and Sheff Wed, particularly Huddersfield who secured their place in the final in the away leg.
Both clubs have quite a good deal of play-off experience though if Reading prevail it would be the first time in 6 attempts after five failures, reaching the final on 3 occasions and losing all 3. The Terriers, on the other hand, have won 3 of their 4 play off finals and, should it go to penalties, they have won all 5 of their penalty shoot-outs in play offs.
A tight, very nervy encounter is expected but i have a sneaky feeling that Huddersfield Town will be playing in the top flight next season for the first time since 1972.
