Re: Mark Johnston

One for johnston monday,  Having his first run, i thought his were best avoided first time out, but will chance him as pk mentioned he had a debutant winner a couple of days ago.

2nd at 11/1 looked one to follow pk, ran a bit green had to come very wide off the last bend but stayed on  strongly,  one for the tracker.

Not johnston,s  but 410 "cool music" finished 3rd 22/1 looked another to follow.

Looks the one to take from that earlier, for a split second I wondered would it cause more bother than it initially did to the winner, definitely caught the eye

Re: Mark Johnston

His newcomers always seem to go well and are usually decent prices.

Assault On Rome stays in a 0-80 Handicap which is my worry, but back up to 8.5f and ran well recently over 7f running into a clear third

Re: Mark Johnston

Assault on Rome is running in handicaps above his pay rate that is certain, and is not a 8.5f horse, poor run today in a 0-80, will never win around that sphere

Re: Mark Johnston

Slightly late to the party but Mark Johnston and 2yr olds go together like other early summer delights such as Wimbledon and Pimms or Glastonbury and Rain! 6 wins and 5 places from 18 turf runners this season (although not showing a profit £1 stake as yet).

Of his 10 winners from the last 14 days, 5 have been 2 years olds so it might be time to jump on the usual early season trends where he definitely gets his horses fit and firing.

Only one from his runners today
