Re: Roger fell

I've also been watching Roger Fell in the last few weeks with his 20% win rate in the last fortnight. He runs 3 at Thirsk today & one at York tonight.

Canizay 18/1 in 7f cavalry charge at 3.30 - this looks between Richard Fahey's Springforth & Rutn Carr's Melaniemillie, although both have wide draws to overcome. Canizay is ridden by lightweight Paddy Mathers who likes Thirsk & threw up a surprise 80/1 winner here 10 days ago, so is definitely worth an EW bet.

Most of Fell's recent successes have involved Tony Hamilton, & his only ride for Fell today is Lexington Sky, currently 9/1. I'd say this is Fell's best chance today, on his 2nd run since joining from Richard Hannon (although Oriental Lilly looks to have strong claims in this).

Recent winner Dapper Man won at Wetherby off 58 in June & has placed twice out of his 3 runs since then. Jockey Ben Sanderson has won on 2 of his last 3 rides for Roger Fell in the last 8 days & has steered Dapper Man to 2 placed efforts recently (both times behind winner Foxy Boy), so again looks a good EW chance, although less value than Canizay at 6/1.

My money is on Lexington Sky, with EW stakes on Canizay & Dapper Man. Also worth a small EW double & treble.

Re: Roger fell

Roger Fell had another winner yesterday that was well backed at Carlisle Sheriff of Nawton and is operating at around a 13% strike rate at the moment which is decent for a small trainer in fairness. but just watch when his horses come in for a bit of money
