Great tipping on here last night well done to all!!
Looking at tonight's card at ballinrobe, there's a couple I like in the flat races.
5.10 - pyrus gold wind 12/1 paddy power
Trainer has his string in fine order. He has previously said that this horse wouldn't handle heavy ground and the better the ground has been, the better he preformed. He was set some pretty tough tasks in the past being beaten by the likes of piqué sous, Annie power, mad Brian and the most impressive un de scheaux(a horse who I think could be a champion hurdle horse if he could settle) but all of those defeats were on ground he wouldn't handle. His form on yielding or better reads 418 with his most recent one suspect as he was very tenderly handled and was never put into the race. I have a feeling a handicap hurdle at the Galway festival could be the target but he could run in a flat handicap also at the festival (trainers local track). With the exciting Conor king taking off 7lbs, pyrus gold wind could get involved in the finish with him lacking nothing from the saddle in an open looking race.
5.40 - skiing in tune 10/1 bet victor
Another trainer and jockey in great form. Pat Flynn has his string in fine fettle with 12 winners/placers from his last 30 runners with a couple of fourths and fifths also. Skiing in tune returned from a break on soft ground in limerick in a muddling race where the form is questionable. Second has been beaten miles twice since while some horses failed to shine on that day like little green, massabini and castle guest all running much improved races next time out while speed dial is consistent and killourney express came out to win since. His next run is particularly interesting. It was on firm ground over a mile and a half in tramore(sharp track not unlike ballinrobe). He finished third beaten 9l by bobskier with positive vibes just getting up to catch him for second when he was eased up. Libertys gift was behind and has come out to fill up the runner up spot in a flat handicap and handicap hurdle since. Blue ridge lane was also behind that day and was just beaten in Roscommon before winning at limerick on Friday. Skiing in tune was wearing first time cheek pieces that day and if they do the trick again and keep him concentrating on racing, and his fitness has improved(pat Flynns horses improve with racing), then he should go close tonight off a basement mark. While pat Flynn has only had 6 winners at ballinrobe from 96 runners, he has had 24 placings and I'm hoping skiing in tune can add to that at the least.
6.10 - Belmont belle 10/1 paddy power
ballinrobe should be delighted with the turnout. Some powerful yards and very well bred fillies take their chance in this 9f maiden. Aidan o briens one true love has been bitterly disappointing and not one to be backing at around 11/8. One that could represent a bit of value is Tracey Collins filly. She is by the American bred Balmont, who's progeny have a liking for better ground. She started off her career in a good Nass maiden won by ramsa(one true love close second) over 7f when she was tenderly handled and took the eye. On that bare form she has almost 4l to find with one true love but with the extra 2f and that experience behind her, I'm expecting her to put it upto the likely favourite. About that race, it was slightly faster than the course average and out of it, one true love has twice been beaten but I think it's her lack of love of racing that got her beat rather than any lack of ability. The seventh, violet hour has come out in a very hot leopardstown maiden and finished a good fourth.(winner second in the moyglare last year to none other than sky lantern). I am expecting a good show from Tracey Collins filly but there are a few in this that could outrun their odds.
Three each way bets.
