305 ew 40/1 The Kings Writ (BetVictor and others) looks to have a decent chance in its first handicap. The three it finished behind last time in a course and distance novice hurdle had shown decent form going into the race. Jacob rode a recent winner for the trainer.

5.00 Baron Run 33/1

Ran twice here and at Newcastle since the return from break, both going hard from the front, over cooking it and dropping out. With the way newcastles been riding I'd be keen to forgive any front runner or upgrade front runner wins. Stays a solid six.

This horse will either pop up at a huge price on the AW sometime soon or be a very well handicapped horse for the summer (low grade obviously!) tracker material.

Re: tuesday 21/03/17

2.40 Busy Street 6/5 NAP

Course form at Southwell from 3 runs is one win and two seconds.

Combo when teaming up are 4/20 - 20% in 2017. Last 5 runs as a combo at Southwell have yielded 1 win, 2 places.

Of these places, one was Busy Street for whom the running commentary last time out over C&D was:

Tracked leaders, headway 3f out, chased winner well over 1f out, ridden and staying on inner and every chance when not clear run inside final furlong, switched right and kept on

Rewatching that race he was full of running when having to be switched out, but in any case, he was beaten by a horse in form, who is now going on for his hat trick. Busy Street also beat Storm King by a decent 1.5L who in himself was a form horse too so the form stacks up.

There is some decent competition in this race admittedly, with plenty of horses (Tatting/Major Rowan as examples) who love it at Southwell. However, Busy Street's speed ratings as below, with him being lightly raced against some exposed horses, he should prove his speed and worth today.

Good luck all.

 Horse Best Lto 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th
 Busy Street 81 81 (23) -- -- -- --
 The Lock Master 77 68 76 21 77 40 42
 Muqarred 68 64 58 29 68 57 (31)
 Torremar 68 68 (48) (66) (68) -- --

Re: tuesday 21/03/17

Four that are in with good chance today:-

14:20 Wetherby  Mr Snoozy consistent sort at this level and visor may eek out win. May be worthwhile having each way saver on An Fear Ciuin just in case it can replicate flat ability over hurdles this time.

15:25 Wetherby  Sigurd improving and good 2nd to High Bridge LTO. Trainer 25% 13/52 with hurdlers here last 5 seasons.

16:15 Exeter      Kap Jazz - Trainer 22% with chasers at track last 5 seaons and with main rivals bit dodgy jumpers can win this step up in grade.

16:25 Southwell War Department - Dalgleish who trains just up the road from me has good record with older horses at track. It originally cost 160,000 gns as a 2yo but joined the yard last Summer for knock down price of 26,000 gns. Has ability to more than handle this grade and was good 2nd LTO to a progressive type.

Good luck,

banko

2.30 Pure Vision 7/2

Has caught the eye a few times now when travelling well in behind in better races than this and then his run just petering out in the final couple of furlongs. He should appreciate the step up in trip and the better ground being by Milan. He has been smacked around on his last two starts and he could have arguably won at uttoxeter with a more forceful ride and i think off a rating of 113 if this is his target then he should have a massive chance

Re: tuesday 21/03/17

Exeter 4.15 Kap Jazz 9/4 NB

Best on speed ratings, and form on right handed courses is 211 - the hat trick is well within range today, last two wins have been by 10L and 2L in facile manners, so the 6lb rise should be well within range.

Williams is 17/85 - 20% with an impressive LSP of £25 at Exeter. She is 2/5 at Exeter in her chasers this year (40%) and £11 LSP.

Charlie Deutsch is 1/2 in 2017 with chasers on course too - LSP £3.

This is her only runner here today and is Deutsch's only booked ride today. They will hopefully make the 4 hour, 160 mile round trip worthwhile with this one.
